With the real estate market flourishing and only getting better, now is a great time to be a realtor! Most of the U.S. is seeing a big increase in sales prices, which means higher commissions for the country’s real estate agents.
At the conclusion of Q1, realtor.com released it’s list of hottest zip codes, and our favorite state has two cities on the list! Coming in at number 7 is Grand Rapids, Michigan, zip code 49508, with an average listing price of $183,575 and an average of 19 days on the market. With a booming job market and downtown area, many buyers are flocking to the Grand Rapids area. 14th on the list is Clawson, Michigan, zip code 48017, with an average list price of $180,808 and an average of 28 days on the market. Clawson offers proximity to the popular restaurants and shops of Royal Oak, without the higher Royal Oak prices. Number one overall was Colorado Springs, Colorado. The cities were selected by a combination of inventory, demand, and buyer activity.
The selections of Grand Rapids and Clawson as top zip codes follows the October 2017 list that highlighted Livonia (48154) as the second hottest zip code in the country. With that in mind, it’s no secret that Michigan is a great place to become a real estate agent. With the 2018 spring market coming to a close, experts are projecting 2019 markets to improve even more.
If you’re ready to get your piece of the pie, Michigan Institute of Real Estate has classes available throughout the metro area, with in-class, online, webinar, and at-home study options.
