No two real estate agents are the same. Every agent has a different level of experience and list of strategies for everything from marketing their listings to finding new clients. But what sets realtors apart, and which category do you fall into? Keep reading to find out!

The 5 Types of Real Estate Agents

The Veteran
This real estate agent has seen it all, and has some great (and shocking) stories to tell from over the years. They’ve got years of experience under their belt, and they’re everyone’s go-to for advice on difficult transactions. They might be a little old fashioned at times, but they’re confident, knowledgable, and successful in their field.

The Rookie
The Rookie is brand new to real estate, and they can’t wait to get started! They’re enthusiastic, eager to learn, and ready to jump into their new career. They don’t always have the confidence that the Veteran has, but they make up for it in determination. Their positive outlook makes others want to get into the real estate game.

The Charmer
Charismatic and friendly, this real estate agent was born with the sales gene. They can pick up the phone, call a FSBO, and have a new client in under two minutes. You wonder how they do it! They’re a smooth talker that can always get the deal done, and everyone in the office likes them.

The Shark
The Shark is in it to win it, and they won’t let anything get in their way. It’s a little intimidating having to compete against this real estate agent, and the thought of having to negotiate with them makes you nervous. Sometimes they can be a bit blunt, but clients like that they’ll go to battle to get them the best deal.

The Techie
How do they get their listings to show up while you’re scrolling through Facebook?! Zillow, Realtor.com, the MLS…they’re a master at it all. They’re smart and always adapting to the changing market, both in person and in the digital world. Clients like that they’re a marketing pro, and they always go above and beyond for their clients. When you have a listing that’s been on the market a few too many days, they’ve got a strategy to reach potential buyers.

So which type of real estate agent are you? Now that you’ve figured out which category that you fall into, find out what makes a good real estate agent.
