Have you heard the news? Continuing education laws are changing for the upcoming licensing cycle, and Michigan Institute of Real Estate has everything you need to know!
The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs has recently made changes to rules and requirements for both real estate brokers and agents in reference to continuing education. Beginning November 1, 2018, all active licensees will only be eligible for license renewal if their classes are certified and tracked through CE Marketplace.
Here are 3 Easy Steps to Start Tracking Your Continuing Education Through CE Marketplace:
Step 1: Register for an account here.
Step 2: After putting in your license number, CE Marketplace will locate your account and create an email “tokin” for you to verify your email address.
Step 3: From there, you can click on the link in the email to finish registering and start tracking your continuing education credits.
As we mentioned before, only certified classes will count towards the 6 credits required for each year. Michigan Institute of Real Estate offers these certified classes online, in person, or via in home study. All courses include the required 2 hour legal update, 3 hour NAR code of ethics training, and 1 hour of general education. These classes offer a great opportunity to meet other real estate agents, learn about the ever changing real estate industry, and have some fun! A full list of our classes is available online at www.myrealestateschool.com. Give us a call at 800-861-7325 and we’ll be happy to assist you with signing up!
